Shavuot Recipes

We are pleased to launch this new feature dedicated to the Jewish holiday of Shavuot. It is a prevailing custom to eat dairy products on Shavuot, and to use them creatively in all kinds of recipes. In this feature there are dozens of recipes tailor-made for the holiday: main courses, soups, side dishes and desserts, together with a variety of related articles. Recipes for Shavuot:

Blue cheese is the general term for those soft cheeses with the blue veins, which is actually mould. Most blue cheese is made from cow's milk, apart from Roquefort and blue cheese from Corsica, which are made from sheep's milk. Blue cheese comprises some ten percent of general cheese production.
Roquefort cheese was the first cheese to have a legal protected designation of origin.

While it's true that many cheeses are complicated and it takes lots of experience and special equipment to make them, there are also cheeses that are easy to make at home. Here is one  especially for the Shavuot holiday!
This is a particularly delicate quiche which can be baked in small personal dishes or in a large mould. Recommended for Shavuot!
